Absolute Biokovo Challenge

RACE RULES

 

  1. Participants must follow the marked route according to their category. It is forbidden to use off-road and shorten the path.
  2. Participants compete at their own risk.
  3. All participants accept all the rules and conditions of the race (conditions of registration, timetable, etc.)
  4. Participants must wear all required mandatory equipment.
  5. Participants must wear a BIB number that is visible throughout the race, in the chest or abdomen, otherwise they may be disqualified.
  6. Participants must abide by the traffic rules as the race, in some parts, passes on roads. It is mandatory to use sidewalks and pedestrian crossings on roads, where they are accessible.
  7. Participants must follow all instructions given by officials at registration, checkpoints, road crossings and all other locations.
  8. All competitors who withdraw are obliged to inform the organizer by sending an SMS (the number of the organizer is on the BIB number) with their competition number, name and surname.
  9. Minors are not allowed to take part in SKY , HIGH and EXTREME races.
  10. Minors over the age of 14 are allowed to participate in the VERTICAL race, only accompanied by an older adult and with a signed form obtained at the registration.
  11. Only those who have the prescribed requirement of 420 ITRA points on a track of length S or greater may take part in the EXTREME race. If a competitor has not participated in competitions that are scored according to ITRA, the organizer has the right to assess whether the competitor has the right to participate or not.
  12. Each category has its own start time. If participants do not start on time, they are directly disqualified from the race.
  13. The organizer has the right to change the prescribed schedule of the race.
  14. In certain cases, the organizer has the right to change the course for safety reasons.
  15. In case of postponement or cancellation of the race due to force majeure, the organizer is not obliged to refund the entry fee to participants, unless the organizer decides to regulate this item differently, but it must be officially published on the website and social networks before registration.
  16. If the competitor cancels the arrival, the entry fee is refunded in the amount of 50% if the arrival is canceled at least 2 months before the start of the race. If the arrival is canceled less than 2 months before the start of the race, there is no refund of the entry fee.
  17. Throwing garbage on the track or anywhere else where it is not provided for is immediate disqualification.
  18. Complaints can be submitted exclusively in electronic form to the e-mail absolutebiokovo@gmail.com within 48 hours from the end of the race. The organizer is obliged to respond to the complaint within 48 hours of receiving it.
  19. Competitors will be disqualified for non-compliance with these rules.
  20. The Croatian Mountain Rescue Service is on duty for emergencies.

– astrofolia
– First aid
– a whistle
– headlamp and spare batteries
– Gpx device (watch, cell phone or something else) with the gpx track of the race loaded

SKY CHALLENGE

Mandatory equipment:

– mobile phone (with charged battery)
– water container (bottle, flask) min. volume 1 l
– astrofolia
– First aid
– a whistle

HIGH CHALLENGE

Mandatory equipment:

– mobile phone (with charged battery)
– water container (bottle, flask) min. volume 1 l
– astrofolia
– First aid
– a whistle

VERTICAL CHALLENGE

Mandatory equipment:

– mobile phone (with charged battery)
– water container (bottle, flask) min. volume 0,5 l

Note: there will be no single use plastic cups on the refreshment stations, so bring your own cup.
